Mix all of your ingredients except for the tilapia in a medium size mixing bowl. Step 1, heat the grill. Drizzle the olive oil over each filet and sprinkle each one with approximately ½ tsp lemon pepper seasoning. Make sure all the grates are clean and they’re oiled well, too. Spray the grill with cooking oil. Brush the exposed sides of the fish evenly with the remaining butter mixture. Onions should be a little caramalized/charred. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 30 to 60 minutes. While you won’t get the same crispy outer layer, the fish will be moist and juicy on the inside. Lightly season the fish with the cumin, cayenne, paprika, and salt.

Preheat your grill on high for at least 5 minutes. Place both fish onto the grill, and grill each side for 10 to 15 minutes. Reserve 1 lemon to use for squirting on top of the fillets as they're cooking and when they're removed from the grill. Mix all of the seasonings in a bowl. In a small bowl mix 3 tablespoons vegetable oil, 2 teaspoons paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 teaspoon salt and ½ teaspoon pepper. Spread out all the sliced onion on the grill pan. Mix all of your ingredients except for the tilapia in a medium size mixing bowl. Place tilapia fillets on top of the onions.
